Inspire Sleep Apnea System
Doylestown Health is proud to offer the Inspire Sleep Apnea System as an alternative for those who can’t tolerate Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP). Inspire therapy is a mask-free treatment option that works with your body to deliver mild stimulation to airway muscles to help regulate your breathing while you sleep.
How Does Inspire Work?
The Inspire implant is made up of a small battery and two small wires. The device is placed near your collarbone during a short outpatient procedure. In most cases, you can return to non-strenuous activities in a few days.
Once the Inspire system is implanted, you can control it using a hand-held remote. Our team of experts will work with you so you know how to turn the system on before going to sleep and turn it off when you wake up. Our physicians provide follow up care to make sure Inspire therapy is working well for you. You can also track your sleep and share data with your physician using the Inspire app.
Who Qualifies for Inspire?
You may qualify for Inspire therapy if you have been diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea and cannot tolerate CPAP. To learn more, make an appointment with one of our specialists at Doylestown Health’s Sleep Center.
