Dr. Victor Hsu specializes in treatment of spinal disorders and spine surgery. He graduated with a medical degree from the Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Dr. Hsu completed his residency training in orthopedic surgery at Temple University Hospital. He successfully completed fellowship training at the San Diego Center for Spinal Disorders in La Jolla, California.
Dr. Hsu feels that spine surgery is among the most complex in orthopedic surgery and as a result, the reward from treating spine patients is the most gratifying. Using minimally invasive techniques, Dr. Hsu is able to help his patients heal more quickly and improve quality of life. The procedures I specialize in are the least invasive procedures available to get the job done right, he says. Still, he is cautious about using the latest technology until it is proven effective. I think it is more important to be able to get the job done well than to be able to do it the 'newest' way, says Dr. Hsu.
Dr. Hsu has presented papers and abstracts at several professional conferences. He has completed additional coursework on fractures, joint arthroplasty and upper extremity trauma. He is a member of the North American Spine Society, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery and the Scoliosis Research Society.
Dr. Hsu was named among America’s Best Spine Surgeons by Newsweek Magazine in 2024.
