During the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, Utah, Dr. Boylan cared for Olympic athletes as an orthopedic volunteer. He has conducted research on anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction and presented at professional conferences on this subject. Dr. Boylan has conducted numerous community lectures on treatments for knees and shoulders, as well as the prevention and treatment of sports-related injuries.
Dr. Boylan holds professional membership in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery, the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, the Pennsylvania Medical Society and the Bucks County Medical Society. He has served as a board member of the Central Bucks Family Y. He is a team physician for the Central Bucks School District and enjoys community involvement in local high school and area sporting events.
